More weekend photos
Bunky had a play around in his jolly jumper for a bit yesterday. He's figured out that a bit of kicking allows him to do some swift rotating, giving him a very handy 360 degree view of the surroundings. Check out the action shot:

Sorry it's so grainy - it was a bit dark in the corridor, so I had to try and touch the photo up a bit.
Also from yesterday, this shot from "nudey rudey" time (as it's called) in the lounge yesterday. I have a few more shots of him sans clothing, most of which I intend to save for his 21st birthday...

Day 2 of Operation Solids went well, with Bunky knocking back another two or three teaspoons of gross crappy gloop baby rice mixed with milk. He still feigns surprise when the spoon goes into his mouth - which is a bit rich really, given that usually he'll happily shove anything at all into his mouth.
Solids at last
Well, ok - not so much "solids" as "mushy rice-like gloop". He looked pretty confused, but a few mouthfuls actually made it past the bib and into his stomach:

Note the finger pointing in that last shot - he's laying down the law with his mummy...
It was a busy photo day
A few more for Aunty Momo's birthday:

And one from Tummy Time - it started ok, but then George put his head down for a little rest:

Happy Birthday Aunty Momo!
Some special photos for Aunty Momo, taken about 10 minutes ago:

Aunty Momo - we'll try and call you today, but getting hold of you will be largely contingent on whether the hotel staff understand us!
The many faces of George
From this morning:

Also, George wanted to say Happy Birthday Grandpa Paddy as well as hello and hugs to Aunty Momo and Uncle Eugie who are galavanting around Europe at the moment...
Trying to hold my own bottle
Quite cute really - when I let go or take the bottle away from him mid-feed, his arms shoot up and grab it. He still hasn't quite figured out gravity (fair enough - he's only 5 months old), but he knows that when Daddy lets go, it's no milk for George unless he can get his arms under the bottle. Clever little monkey.

Daddy "Sonday"
Mummy went out to check out some shops and get a pedicure (oh the tough life of an expat), and so Daddy and kiddo had some time together. It was of course just my luck that his weekly poo occurred in the 4 hour window when I was taking care of him - and anyone who says that baby poo doesn't smell is a lying bastard. I got a few photos of the munchkin - this one from bouncy chair time (I am clearly very amusing):

Later in the afternoon, Rachel made me do nudey rudey time with George (I was fully clothed - he was in the buff). He's almost rolling over now - he lies on his back, twists his torso... and then *just* misses out on rolling over thanks to his left arm. Sooooo close. His tummy time isn't as crash hot - today he hoisted himself up with his arms for a few minutes, then put his head down on the ground and let out a heavy sigh. And stopped trying to get up again... bless.

Strange things you see on the streets of Hong Kong
Abandoned stools, for example.
