Pokfulam Market Day

We took the little man down to the monthly market, where he got to sit in the sun and hang with his mate Sam.  Photos below are of Bunky and a few friends who were also there: DSC_0467

Baby group [Password = name of Keane family chocolate labrador]

Emma and Mark asked me to take a few photos for their baby group, which is shortly disbanding due to the repatriation of some of its members.  They are a fantastic bunch of really friendly people, and it was great fun - although a little exhausting (fourteen adults and fourteen children!) I've popped a few of the photos from the afternoon below (with some rough edits - I need to sit down for a few hours and do proper edits on all of them): DSC_0522

"Young man, you're making a scene"

Ok, so no one actually said this to Bunky, but he was pretty damned vocal during our brunch at The Press Room today.  Fortunately we had some very understanding ladies sitting next to us, and they happily waved and smiled at his lordship as he warmed his lungs up. Thankfully, a piece of his mummy's Croque Monsieur kept little Monsieur quiet for a few moments, and then a special order of toast (which the restaurant very kindly didn't charge us for) kept him happy - at least until he worked out how far he could throw that toast.

Needless to say, we gobbled our own food and left pretty quickly - despite it being a fairly vibrant and noisy place, Bunky's vocal chords were easily standing out above the rest.  It was nice to get out of the house though...

Here's a photo that was taken just before Little Mr Shoutypants got going:

Another photo from this morning (unfortunately I was only able to take it on my phone) - Rachel went to wake the little man up at 10am and found him at the wrong end of the cot, with his arm sticking out of the bars, and his newest teddy bear ("Flat Ted") on his head:

Awww, bless.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Yes, they do celebrate that here - and as long as I get sent home early, then I'm not complaining. After a bit of playtime on the mat, and a feeding session of dubious success, we went for a walk down Victoria Road while we waited for Rachel to get home. Bunky was pretty good - he had his late afternoon sleep withheld, and didn't start dozing off until about 6pm, which was a pretty good effort.  Bath and Bed were pretty uneventful.

I've taken a few photos of the little monkey today - here you go:

Ok, so he didn't look so thrilled to be wearing the shark hat...

Feeling groovy

Someone had a much better sleep last night, and is back to his usual shoutypants self this morning. Still a tad raspy, but he had a good old chew on my hair just before, so he's obviously on the up. Mummy's day off today, so Bunky has a date with his playmates this afternoon. Daddy has a date with work.  Oh, the injustice.

I love this last one.  He was engrossed with his makeshift cardboard trumpet, and was totally and utterly oblivious to me:

Sick little Bunky

The little fella had a bit of a rough night last night - he's got a teeny cold and combined with the (possible) after effects of his flu jab, his teeny weeny nostrils are a bit clogged up at the moment. As a result, the poor mite didn't sleep too well overnight. He was pretty chipper this morning though, and apparently slept pretty well during the day. I took this one about an hour ago, just before bathtime. It was pretty crappy lighting, but he stayed pretty still for me while I poked the camera in his face (again). Finger in the mouth generally equals "I'm tired now".

Dim sum, birthdays, quiet time

A hectic weekend for the little man, not helped by us thinking that today's birthday party was yesterday.  On Saturday we got as far as about 30m from the birthday boy's driveway before we realised that we were a day early.  Ah well, at least George got a swim out of it. This morning started with dim sum with the McBride clan in Wan Chai. The always reliable and extremely child-friendly Renaissance Harbourview:

Which was followed by a nap and then a visit to little Riley's house for his first birthday celebration, just around the corner from where we live.  That's the birthday boy Riley on the left and George's playmate Sam H on the right:

And finally a little bit of quiet time for Bunky with his Mummy. Clearly, Daddy is quite hilarious:

It's a short week this week - Thursday is China's Labour Day.  We'll just enjoy the long weekend by chilling with the little man (although I'll probably need to head into work on Friday for at least some of the day).
